Steamboat Bill Jr. 1928

This is a comedy silent film that features Buster Keaton. Steamboat Bill Jr. was the last of Keaton's team of independent productions. The movie actually was not a success and it was the last film that Keaton made for United Artists which caused him to move to MGM. The Movie name was based off of a popular Arthur Collins song called "Steamboat Bill".
Following a promise to his mother William Canning Jr. goes down to the River Junction to meet the father who he has not seen since he was young. His father isn't what he expected of him but he has bigger problems since he was put out of business by J.J. King a rich bank and hotel owner who owns a new steam boat that puts Canning's old boat to shame. His son and the daughter of J.J. King find love in between the fight between the fathers. A storm causes Bill Jr. to save kitty and his and her father.
